Our clinical objective is to educate the patient on continuing to live in the “real world” and learning how to cope with the “day to day” stressors of overcoming a formal eating disorder, depression, anxiety disorders or obsessive compulsive disorders. In addition, during the course of treatment we also provide patients with life skills training, an individualized program that helps patients to adopt the tools to accomplish a happy, healthy and productive life.

At the commencement of treatment at Walker Wellness Clinic, patients may be struggling with one or more problems, such as (but not limited to):

  • Poor academic functioning
  • Depression
  • Obsessive compulsive disorder
  • Adoption issues
  • Resistant
  • ADHD
  • Requires structure
  • Emotional immaturity

Lifeskills

Walker Wellness Clinic teaches patients the necessary skills to resist social (peer) pressure to smoke, drink excessively and use drugs. We help patients to develop greater self esteem, self confidence, and independence. We provide our patients the tools to cope with anxiety and stress, and we teach patients cognitive and behavioral competency to prevent a variety of destructive behaviors.
