Wellness Clinic does not accept direct payment from insurance companies due to
the fact that we would like for our patients to experience complete
confidentiality in their course of treatment. However, we do offer each patient
a statement at the end of each treatment week that can be submitted to your insurance
company if you choose to file for third party reimbursement.
Patient confidentiality is often compromised when dealing with insurance companies as a means to attain more sessions authorized. The number of sessions an insurance company is willing to pay for is often limited to each patient’s particular plan, not the number of sessions and intensity that are adequate for a timely recovery.
Regardless of whether a treatment center agrees to accept your insurance plan, it is always wise to contact your insurance company and confirm that you will receive third party reimbursement for the treatment. For example, if the insurance company feels that a patient should be stepped down to a lower level of care, despite the recommendation of the treatment team the insurance company may decide not to pay for the current sessions. Insurance companies could also decide against the recommendations of the treatment team, that a patient should be finished with a particular clinical program or therapy and not pay for these sessions either.
Therefore, these issues that may arise in the course of treatment have helped us conclude that we do not work directly with insurance companies. However, history has shown that often times insurance companies will reimburse for our clinical services due to our cost effective rates and clinically sound treatment approach. We will be happy to assist you in issues regarding your statement or clarification for the insurance company. In summary, we have made this decision based on offering our patients the best quality care without compromising patient confidentiality.
